Royal Backyard Living is looking for a motivated, versatile and ambitious individual with diversified skills to take advantage of an excellent opportunity for hands-on work, both outdoors and independently, as well as potential for future ownership stake. We are looking for someone who can follow through on assignments with little supervision, enjoys physical labor, is proud of their work and has the capacity to lead.  The perfect candidate will be willing and able to perform all tasks within the swimming pool industry with the goal of advancement. This is for a position beginning in March 2025.

What does a swimming pool professional do?

  • Perform routine daily/weekly maintenance of commercial & residential swimming pools
  • Understands pool chemistry & filter systems
  • Provides customers with high quality products & services
  • Is reliable, punctual & neat in appearance
  • Communicates effectively with customers & co-workers
  • Understands the importance of following directions
  • Has knowledge & skills to repair pool equipment
  • Is able to plan ahead in both short & long-term situations
  • Maintains professionalism at all times, particularly on customer properties

A typical in-season work day will include:

  • Travel to each property with proper tools, equipment & chemicals
  • Test pool chemistry & properly treat the water at each property
  • Clean all pool components such as; skimmers, pump baskets, salt cells
  • Skim water surface, vacuum pool floor, brush pool walls
  • Ensure that all equipment is working properly, no leaks, no error messages
  • Backwash pool filter or otherwise clean filter media as needed
  • Arrange furniture, clean & stock bathrooms for some commercial properties
  • Leave customer’s property in better condition than it was found

Opening/Closing Season activities:

  • Remove, fold & store winter covers – reinstall at closing
  • Reassemble & start-up pool equipment – opposite at closing
  • Vacuum pool to waste, brush entire pool, add proper chemicals
  • Perform follow up to pool openings
  • Perform repairs on pool equipment as needed
  • Remove water from plumbing lines & equipment & add antifreeze

Position requires knowledge & experience in pool cleaning, pool chemistry, pool plumbing, light construction, light electrical, & general repairs of swimming pool equipment.  Position will work directly with & report to the owner.

At minimum, candidate must be able to clean pools properly, without supervision. Must own a truck in good working condition. Preferred candidates will have multiple years of experience in all areas of swimming pool maintenance and repairs.

Salary and other compensation is negotiable – starting at $25/hr for minimum qualifications.

 

Pool Service Associate – Part-Time – several options - apply here

We manage several community pools, primarily in the Northland, that are great part-time opportunities to earn up to $1000/month for 2 or hours work or less per day.  These need to be completed prior to 9 AM and start time can be as early as the sun comes up.  This great arrangement allows for extra income outside of a regular job as well as the opportunity to learn and potentially move to greater areas of responsibility and earnings at Royal Backyard Living. 

All positions, with the except of EcoSpa Salesperson, are AT LEAST $15/hour to start.  We will train and work side by side with the right candidates.
